A Meeting Services Specialist provides daily administrative support with planning and coordinating meetings, conferences and special business events. This position presents the opportunity to work alongside peers who are versatile, enthusiastic, and continuing to strive to push AECC and our mission forward.
Responsibilities:

  • Collaborates with personnel regarding room set-up to accommodate various meetings and events.
  • Establishes and maintains positive relationships with personnel and serves as first point of contact for all room issues and provides timely response and coordination
  • Sets up all meeting room logistics to include placing food/beverages in conference rooms and performing clean ups.
  • Maintains all kitchen areas and break rooms by stocking paper goods, coffee supplies, and beverages.
  • Monitors and maintains paper product inventory; responsible for ordering supplies when needed.
  • Coordinates with vendors to ensure food requirements are met and resolves any billing discrepancies.
  • Serves as liaison with food and other service providers needed for coordinating internal meetings.
  • Extends outreach and builds relationships with community for additional vendor resources and food options.
  • The ability to handle stress and work well with others are essential functions of this position.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED, with particular emphasis during high school in office skills, hospitality, customer service, or others, plus 12 to 18 months related experience and/or training. Or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Valid Driver’s License with safe driving record.
  • Excellent customer service skill and professional attitude.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
