The purpose of this job is to accurately and safely inspect, receive, store, and distribute material, tools, equipment, and products within the company warehouse as well as picking, packing and scanning orders for customer pickup and delivery, in order to increase operational efficiency, company profitability and customer satisfaction.

The Warehouse Associate/Assembler will assemble the components following assembly procedures specific to the product, complete all inspection forms, and uses inspection equipment for proper documentation of the assembly. The individual will install all tagging, and prep the seal (primary boxing) prior to moving it to shipping/receiving.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Read customer orders, work orders, shipping orders, or requisitions to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed and/or shipped.
  • Record amounts of materials or items received or distributed. Complete internal forms and documents or reports as instructed.
  • Verify correctness of received material against bill of lading invoices and checks for damaged parts, etc.
  • Opens bales, crates, and other containers.
  • Marks materials with identifying information.
  • Sort and place materials or items in proper locations according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color, or product code.
  • Assemble customer orders from stock and place orders on pallets, shelves or directly onto company/ customer trucks or relocate orders to a holding area or shipping department
  • Assembles, Inspects, tests, and packages Seals or sub – assemblies well working at various stations, machines, test benches.
  • Completes quality check documents for all Seals repaired.
  • Ensures all required parts for an assembly job are received and in correct condition; receives and issues materials from inventory.
  • Receives parts to inventory and picks parts to jobs using hand held scanners. Help solve inventory discrepancies as discovered.
  • Scans completed orders into AS400 system.

The Individual

Education/Training:

  • High school Diploma or equivalent
  • Requires 3 – 6 months experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.

Knowledge/Skills:

  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Working knowledge of computers
  • Good attention to detail
